04/20/2024 DRAFTKINGS NBA PLAYOFFS DFS

4 GAME SLATE:

ORLANDO vs CLEVELAND

PHOENIX vs MINNESOTA

PHILADELPHIA vs NEW YORK

LOS ANGELES vs DENVER

STUDS:

The highest game total of the day suggests an expectation of a fast-paced, high-scoring affair. This could be beneficial for DFS as more points mean more fantasy scoring. AD is gonna come out fired up because he's heard all the "Jokic owns him" stuff, so I'd strongly recommend rostering him. If you decide to roster Davis I'd suggest you run it back with Joker or Jamal Murray and throw in some value from both teams for a game stack.

He has been on a hot streak, and his continued performance could be vital for the Knicks. I love the way he plays the game and hard nosed PGs seem to fair well in the playoffs. Theres solid double-double potential here to go along with a few steals. That kind of performance at low ownership is contest winning material.

Ok this should be an easy play but a lot of optimizers are staying off AntMan for this slate. I wholeheartedly have to disagree however because I've seen what playoff Ant is capable of and it's worth much more than $9,000. There shouldn't be any trouble finding a spot for him considering he's Guard and Forward eligible. Let everyone else be scared off by the low regular season numbers he had vs Phoenix and take advantage!!

Although KD didn't put up huge numbers against the Wolves this season let's not forget who we're talking about here. The T'Wolves boost the best defense by far and they are tops in the league at defending the 3pt line and the paint. Well that's just fine for Durant because he takes and makes just about the most 2pt shots in the entire league. He thrives in a spot that is the Wolves Achilles heel, this is gonna be a fun battle between two great scorers in KD and Ant. I'd highly suggest putting them in the same lineup.

MID VALUE:

Naz Reid PF/C ($5,500)

With KAT back Naz returns to his sixth man role off the bench. Now usually I'd say to wait on a few games to see how he adjusts not starting anymore. In this case though I say plug him in because the only change I see is him getting more minutes as KAT continues adjusting to gameplay coming back from injury. The Wolves will not have a long leash for KAT if he struggles with a stud like Naz Reid on the bench.

The guy just secured the bag and it was well deserved. Allen's been shooting 45% from 3pt range and giving the Suns a fiesty defender who isn't afraid to get dirty. He's the type of player that shines in the playoffs. My only worry is the Wolves defend the 3pt line better than any team in the NBA so maybe don't go crazy putting Allen in every lineup.

Looks way too cheap here. Again we're looking at a guy with major double-double upside as long as he stays outta foul trouble. I don't love the idea of rostering a lot of Knicks but one or two could definitely work out positively as I don't see their ownership being high at all.

GREAT VALUE:

Both teams have a slower pace, with a projected game pace of 97.5. This might result in fewer possessions and lower scoring, so be careful not to roster anyone too expensive on CLE or ORL. Suggs averaged 30 minutes and around a 20% usage rate with the second unit. There is still some tremendous value in this game however so don't be totally scared off.

I've always liked Isaac when he isn’t chalk. Really good ppm and paid off for me several times, especially earlier in the season when not many folks were on him. I don't think he's gonna be rostered nearly high enough to stay away, so he will be a staple in many of my lineups.

At one point in April JMac was shooting 50% from the 3pt line on the season. Now it came off of 76 attempts but that's still nothing to sneeze at. JMac plays the 3rd PG role behind Mike Conley and Monte Morris, which gives MN easily the best AST/TO ratio of all time when counting just the PGs. Just to prove my point Monte Morris has a 12.2 AST/TO and JMac has a 5.8 AST/TO. Anyways this guy will be severely under owned and you will have a jump on the field if you roster him. He knocks down 3s with a smooth stroke, he doesn't commit turnovers, and I'm pretty sure Phoenix won't have him high on their priority list of guys not to leave open. Play JMac and thank me later!!
